MATTHEW L. MIXON:  Executive Producer, Videographer, Editor, Photographer

Matthew L. Mixon has over 40 years of experience in television and media.  His extensive experience includes television production, sales and syndication, as well as television network and web affiliate development. “As we reach out to local filmmakers and citizen story-tellers we’re hoping to generate excitement and cross-cultural curiosity that encourages people.”

 

For six years he worked for Post-Newsweek Stations as Director of Programming, WFSB TV3, in Hartford, CT and for ten years prior to that as Executive Producer, WNEV TV7, and Production Manager, WBZ TV4, Boston. For the CBS Television Network, as Director, Affiliate Relations,

 

Matt worked with stations to develop sales and promotion, within his assigned territory covering 27 cities in the Midwest.

In 1996, Matthew joined New Century Network (NCN), a collaborative formed by major newspaper companies to aggregate content.  Owners included, Tribune Company, Cox Enterprises, Gannett Company, Hearst Corporation, The Washington Post Company, and The New York Times. 

 

In 2006, Matthew joined Passport Entertainment, and Allied Media Partners, as Vice President, U.S. Syndication, managing sales of television series and specials.

 

During his career Matthew has managed multiple award-winning programs, including one national and several regional Emmy Awards.

In 2014 Matt returned to his hometown, Milwaukee, WI to launch Mixon Media Group.
