BIOGRAPHY - MATTHEW R. MIXON:  Filmmaker

 

Matthew R. Mixon is a multi-talented Filmmaker.  He is a Producer, Director of Photography and Editor responsible for a string of biographical and short features on a broad range of topics.

 

Since childhood Matt spent hours in studios with his father and his attraction to the profession was evident.  

 

He had principal roles in early television projects produced by his father and went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee with a B.A. in Journalism.

Matt has traveled extensively, doing production shoots in the States and abroad. He has shot video in Venice, Berlin, Hong Kong and Kathmandu.

 

Whether on the streets of Milwaukee or on the road with musicians, Matt’s unique and artful style of shooting and editing creates intimate relationships between his subjects and the audience.  

 

He has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Australia, and East Asia.  Matt regularly travels between his base in Portland, OR and Milwaukee.
